Under star-lit sky;
beneath the pulse of flashing lights;
when you can feel the vibration travel
from your feet to the irises of your eyes,
when the universal energy floods your mind,
and it doesn’t even matter whether it is day or night-
because you and your music are resonating and moving
to the same frequency, the same vibe-
feeling like a pulsar, and going to places
that no other drug than music can take you to,
and showing you things that are so instant, special, and amazing,
they take you high in ways you couldn’t ever relay or describe.
In your room on your own,
in a public place surrounded in every direction
by people you don’t know;
in a moment of need, in a flash of inspiration,
you hear the song that you have been waiting for,
you become the words and the melody
that makes you feel alive like the new day’s dawn.
You give out a silent but deafening call,
and those who are listening, reveling, receiving,
hear you, and you feel like you are in an infinite room
without any walls.
We all create our own reality;
we all live in moments of infinite meaning and complexity;
we all find the one at the right time,
even if we don’t know it;
we all want a fusion of our dreams
and what we are here to do, make, and complete
in this life, on this planet;
we all can do no wrong if we give our heart
and believe in everything we do;
we all can know no limits if we remember
that everything in life has a cycle,
we all move in a circle,
we all exist in a sphere of constantly interacting
and changing relationships of me and you.
It is the best feeling in the world;
it is the magic that really happens in every note of music,
in every expression of art, in every written or printed word;
it is what excites us when we feel something incredible;
it is what colours our face;
it is what widens our smile, and dilates our eyes;
it is what makes us punch the air;
it is what makes us feel tearful, eternal;
it is what we can all feel and discover in our own perfect time-
because what is out there is everything and everybody,
and is wholly universal.

If there is one great truth to live by on our planet
it is that you should never take anything for granted,
and that you should take care and nurture
the seeds of life that have been planted-
from new ideas to new sights,
from recurring beauty to new lights that appear at night.
I love life so much, because, at its heart, it is eccentric,
varied, unpredictable, and changeable;
and people, humanity, are one of the greatest examples
of this universal eccentricity-
if any evidence were needed of this fact,
you need only to listen to us all
when we effectively demonstrate our innate gift to squabble and quibble,
sometimes about the most inconsequential of things:
what people choose to do with their time, what people choose to wear-
sometimes it feels like everyone has flashed-back
to the times of arrows and slings.
Another great truth of life
is that you can achieve so much with so little-
you can create the greatest masterpiece
with the right subject at the right time;
you can make the most incredible meal
that anyone has ever tasted in their entire lives
with only a handful of ingredients
in the smallest kitchen in the entire world-
sometimes the simplest of things
are remembered by everyone as the most sublime.
One amazing and inspirational moment can define you forever;
one moment of joy, exhilaration, happiness,
can give you the identity that you have always craved;
one life-changing moment can bring everyone together.
People are more interesting to me
when they prove that they are a fully-fledged individual,
when they choose to not board the ‘trend-train’
and do not do whatever everybody else is doing,
do not say whatever everybody else is saying,
and do not wear whatever everybody else is wearing,
and instead do their own thing, have their own opinion-
even if that does not jive
with what society seems to tell us is “normal”-
we are all interconnected, but we are not a hive.
I love every new day of life,
because it always feels different, more profound, somehow;
every day makes more sense and yet less sense than the day before,
and because of that you don’t know what life has in store;
and although what happens is not always good,
living your life the way you choose to is never a chore.
You have to live your life for yourself, for your family,
for what you love, for what makes you cry;
you have to live your life
as if there are no rules that apply to you,
as if everything that happens is as precious to you
as the moments that you miss in the blink of an eye.
There are moments that happen to us all in our lives
when, within a heart-beat,
we feel like we have crossed the ultimate finish-line,
as all the events of our life- past and future-
appear to flash before ours eyes.
These rare moments of insight can knock you off your feet,
unsettle you for days, but after deep contemplation
they can reveal the continuum of your life, your place in everything-
why you are so important.
I was unprepared and moved to tears when my moment came,
I don’t remember everything that I saw about myself,
in what must have been only a few seconds;
but there is one thing, call it a gift of my future-self,
that still remains.
They say that time-travel is impossible,
but, then again, they used to say that same
about men on the moon.
I believe that if you look at a problem from a different direction
all the answers to your questions will begin to sing in-tune.
I see things in life that I only wish others could see with me;
I see the spark of hope in those people who say that they are giving up,
who only need to take the time to hear the reason why things need to happen-
because, when you are looking at things through a veil,
the mist that you see can be as thick as syrup.
When I look back, and when I look forward,
since my moment of connection with all space and time,
I don’t see a beginning, or an end-
I see a forever existence that is, and will always be, beyond understanding,
but I know in myself that I and we are connected to everything else
like the nervous system of a universal spine.
I don’t have proof of my belief,
but then again you can’t prove that you love someone-
you can only say and show that you do as best that you can.
Like most people who believe in something, I have faith-
for the same reason that you don’t need to prove that the world exists,
even though it cannot be seen by the eyes of a blind person.
I know what it feels like to lose something,
but I also know that if you believe in things, in people, and in yourself,
you cannot foresee how greater the world will become;
you will see, feel, and understand,
that the world doesn’t end when you reach the sea and the sand-
it continues to the stars, as part of the universes, and life’s,
infinite continuum.
