The truth can be painful,
the road to happiness can be rough,
the less you say sometimes can mean more,
the little things that someone does
can be the most special, precious,
meaningful, and touching, gifts of love.

We protect ourselves and are protected by others all the time,
we are kept in the dark sometimes for a reason
to preserve the peace, to sustain the harmony,
to not harm the sensitive of us
who can sometimes feel like they are the victim of someone
who has committed a crime.

We all surround ourselves and feel ourselves
when we are in the company of those who know
what we are thinking at a moments glance,
we all sing along when we feel the need to,
and we all dance;
we all laugh, and we all cry;
we all do anything to make the things that mean the most to us
last forever and never die.

Without protection of some form,
without something to sometimes hold us back when we need to be,
we would all just run free and run wild like a child,
and rage and self-destruct like the winds of a storm.

If the Earth were not surrounded by a thin and fragile atmosphere
none of us would be here,
if we too never had our reality of serenity
we would all feel and be constantly missing something-
like a man without fear;
if we did not clothe ourselves with the leaves of our colours
we would be as barren and as bare as a winter tree.

We all seek affection.
We all have an addiction.
We all look and ponder at our own reflection.
We all want a little protection.

The first sound that you hear when you wake up in the morning,
the first voice that calls to you and returns you to the waking-world of reality
often comes as a shock, a surprise-
but it is what you need to entice the facets of your mind and life into reforming.
Everyday we remake the world, as we see it;
everyday something new comes to us
and interconnects our thoughts
and reveals to us an essential truth, like that of a chorus.

The first sound of a new day can be the most important
and serenity-sustaining music that keeps you from falling
below the waves of your own, sometimes emotionally-tumultuous, sea;
the first song that plays into the fresh morning air,
which gradually and blissfully you listen to every second of every note,
chord, and beat-
you can never anticipate how meaningful it will be.

Sometimes the world can seem so loud, especially first-thing in the morning;
but once you hear that voice of perfection-
whether it be within you, or from the lips of someone you love and respect-
the sound of the world folds in on itself, transforms,
and attenuates into a harmonious resonation.

There are some who live their entire lives
who have never been gifted the wonder of hearing what the world sounds like,
nor know what other people express in their own unique accent-
they miss the magic that carries in the wind that is always present.

There is a deeper music, though, that fills every second,
that everyone and anyone can hear and take from it
and do with it what they may,
and even make their own interpretation of what they hear
for others to play.

Everything that I have heard, thought about, dreamed about,
done something in my life about, came about because I was galvanized
by something profound-
something that occurred to me, so intensely, powerfully, strongly,
as it did when I was a kid-
when I realized that everything that happened in life
was born from sound.

The Great Attractor, to me, is not just a gravitational stellar anomaly,
it is a bond created by a small group of people in search of a little harmony.

The Great Attractor is a song that makes you think of the one you love,
like a message in a bottle sent from one of the shining point’s of light up above.

The Great Attractor is a promise that everything is going to be ok,
that when the sun rises again that new light will herald the start of a brand new day.

The Great Attractor is like an energy that you can feel in the air,
like the static electricity that you create when you rub a balloon on someone’s hair.

The Great Attractor is like the moment when you first see that special someone,
when you feel like you’ve been struck by a bolt lightning that you couldn’t outrun.

The Great Attractor is what keep’s you coming back for more,
the reason you return to a place time and again because it is somewhere that you just adore.

The Great Attractor is like the most powerful magnet imaginable,
like a force of nature that you can feel, but is incapable of ever being tangible.

The Great Attractor is something I live to feel, and dream to converse with-
an understanding that whatever has happened in the past you can always forgive.

The Great Attractor, the rhyme and reason we do what we do,
is all part of the synchronicity highway, and the event’s along the way that ensue.

The Great Attractor is everyone and everything in the entire universe,
the reason why we can’t just rewind our lives and go in the reverse.

The Great Attractor is the knowledge that what you see is not all that there is;
an unheard language that is spoken, but is unreadble even if you are a phonetic wiz.

The Great Attractor is what brought me to you, and you to me-
the reason you are reading this poem right now- which I really like, and I hope you agree.

Deus ex machina
