Some people find perfection in stillness;
some people find perfection in silence;
some people find perfection in chaos;
some people find perfection in the instance
that they find balance.

Some people find perfection on a beach;
some people find perfection in a smile;
some people find perfection in what lies out of reach;
some people find perfection in a mosaic picture of broken tiles.

Some people find perfection in a photograph;
some people find perfection in a sunset;
some people find perfection in the sound of someone’s laugh;
some people find perfection in the sound of a clarinet.

Some people find perfection in a meal;
some people find perfection in a ceremony;
some people find perfection in being able to heal;
some people find perfection in the flowers, fruit, and leaves of a tree.

Some people find perfection in a waterfall;
some people find perfection in a coral reef;
some people find perfection in art painted on a wall;
some people find perfection in a recurring motif.

Some people find perfection in sharing;
some people find perfection in keeping something a secret;
some people find perfection in being daring;
some people find perfection in keeping the things
that no one would ever have thought to have kept.

Some people find perfection in words;
some people find perfection in music;
some people find perfection in telling someone something
they have never heard;
some people find perfection in the people, the places,
and the things that will forever be perfectly imperfect.

Act in a flash,
do something unexpected,
live in the moment,
don’t even think about it too much
and wonder how you or anyone else will react,
embrace the chaos and the beauty of the imperfect.
Feel like you are rich, even if you haven’t got a cent.

Instincts are super-power;
feelings are a fantastic road to happiness;
thoughts are a rainforest that are the home and habitat
of many wonderful discoveries,
and the place to find new life-
like an unseen, beautiful, new flower.
Touch is always the best accent;
dreams and ideas are the potential of the future
we can all aspire to see manifest before our eyes-
like the always inspiring beauty of your muse’s face.

Life could not be what it is without the balance
that is constantly struck by the recurrent, the unpredictable,
the every-day, and the rare;
everything and everyone would not be as special as they are
if we did not look around us and know how lucky we are
to be living and breathing on this beautiful sphere;
we would never learn if we didn’t sometimes make mistakes,
and run too fast, and occasionally take a trip;
we would never find, or feel, the happiness that is out there
waiting for us if we did not follow our heart, and live, live, live.

The greatest adventures,
the deepest insights,
the best and the most heavenly of mirrors,
the highest heights,
all originated from a seed that fell from a tree,
that grew from a seed, and is a part of a continuous cycle
that began with the first see that came from the great ocean of life,
and which was sparked into growth
by the first raindrop to fall from the sky;
the richest vein of gold can be found within everyone on Earth,
and it’s source is the infinite human heart;
the test of the always present gift of choice is free to all,
and doesn’t need to be bought.

Spontaneity is natural.
Heart’s beat a different speed
depending on how much blood they are pumping.
Jumping out of an airplane without a parachute
can only end one way, and you can only go in one direction,
and even though doing such a thing
would be the most frightening thing you have ever done,
and the last thing you will most likely ever do,
it will also be the most fun.
Being free of gravity in any way,
even if the only thing that can be free to go anywhere
might only be your imagination,
is always thrilling, and is always the first day of a new beginning.

Your own mind, and your own face, is the one you can always trust.
Your life will always be amazing, epic, inspiring, enlightening,
and terrific, if you jump when you feel like jumping,
and you be totally and unapologetically spontaneous.

Silence. A pause. A full-stop.
A time to think and see.
A natural and needed interruption,
a resonant song-lyric,
a breath-taking moment,
an opportunity to not have to worry about anything
and simply be.

We all need a break sometimes-
even the best play has an intermission.
We all need to stop and look outside at dusk
and watch the luminous lightning-bugs and fireflies,
and hear the sound of the crickets chirping.
It can be a truly beautiful time,
especially when you have had a lot on you mind recently,
and you want to let all your pent-up feelings and emotions go-
that time when you are looking up at the twilight sky
and you know and you see the universe is telling you something
that it wants you to hear, and you need to hear-
that is the time when you can leave the front door of you open
for the stale air to leave and to let the fresh air come in
and clear your mind and vision, to see things come in
and go out of your life with every breath that you take,
and with every gust that the wind blows.
It can feel cold for a while
while you catch your breath and you breathe in deep,
it can be one of the few moments in your life
when you can actually feel truly free.

Sometimes you don’t know you need someone in your life
until you meet them and they fill your life, days, and hours,
with every part of them;
sometimes you don’t know how much you need something in your life
until you feel like you can’t live without it ever again.
Sometimes you don’t know a road you have been traveling on for years
until you break down on it and you stop and see its scenery
up-close and unexpectedly;
sometimes you don’t know your own self
until you look in the mirror and you ask yourself ‘Who am I?’,
sometimes you have to act selfishly, but not hurtfully-
single-mindedly, but not unashamedly.
Sometimes you have to live the life you want to live
rather than the life others would have you live,
so that even a tear can be a smile of happiness from your eye.

Life is about finding peace.
Life is about finding balance.
Life is about acting on things when you are sure about them,
and about using every ounce of emotion- including fear.
Life is about making the most of everything,
exposing yourself to as much as you can,
and letting your heart, mind, soul, run free of any leash.
Life is about taking every chance.
Life is about… that!

The 29th of February is one of the most amazing days on the calender,
because it is an anomaly;
it is not a day that happens every year, like your birthday-
and that is why I think people, and couples, choose to seize the day,
to propose to each other, and to make resolutions,
as if it were Valentines, or New Years Day.
It is a day that keeps in balance every other day of the decade-
the day that was, but wasn’t;
four years in the making, and in the waiting-
a day that will never fade.

If you are born on the 29th of February,
then I guess that you will be forever young?
However, thinking about it:
if you only have a birthday every four years,
you may be un-aging, or aging slowly in years,
ever the while you are climbing the ladder of life,
and most likely feeling the rise of every rung.

The 29th of February, or “Leap Day”,
is the most perfect day to start something new-
a new relationship, a new attitude-
the most perfect day to do something for everyone, or just for you.

To some people, the 29th of February is just a normal day-
a day in which they may have to wait an extra day before they are paid;
but to some, the 29th of February is, and will always be,
the greatest, and the best, of all the other days-
a day when they will walk out their door with no expectations,
but with anticipation to see how it plays.

Happy Leap Day! Happy Leap Year!
What you do today matters, so make the most of it-
take a leap, keep going until there is nothing in your way.
Today is always the most important,
so live every minute, every hour,
as if they were forever in a day.
